Trefrane Lodge (4)

Visit Wales 4 StarThe sweeping sands of Newgale and the sheltered little cove of Nolton Haven are only a short distance away from this tastefully furnished Pembrokeshire home.

Trefrane Lodge is the 'wing' of a former farmhouse and a cosy retreat from which to explore and enjoy the many delights Pembrokeshire has to offer.

Trefrane Lodge is next door to, but completely separate from Trefrane House, with its own separate entrance, parking and gardens and the whole is set in 9 acres of land with panoramic views to the sea in the distance.

Furnished and decorated with great attention to detail – fabulous  locally made curtains, soft furnishings, carefully chosen light fittings, including a resin ‘antler’ chandelier and coloured glass door knobs to finish.

Trefrane was included in the first list of coal mines in 1854 - Queen Victoria’s favourite anthracite was mined here but there are no visible signs of this today – the coal seam stretched beneath the sea and it is said that the miners could hear the waves crashing above them as they worked.
